A Wedding to Remember: Ally and Alex Tie the Knot in Binham Priory
I was thrilled to be back in Wells-Next-The-Sea on the 10th of June to witness the wedding preparations of Alex and Alex. The day began with the bride, Ally, getting ready at her family home. She was surrounded by her mother, father, maid of honour, and bridesmaids, who were all treated to makeup by Sarah and their hair was styled by Henry. They all wore personalised pink robes and Ally gifted each of them beautifully personalised mugs from Emma Bridgewater.
In a touching moment, Ally changed into her wedding dress in her childhood bedroom, surrounded by memories from her past. She looked stunning in her modern lace sheath wedding dress with an illusion neckline, beaded belt, and lace cap sleeves. To complete the look, she had an illusion back with ruched details finished with a row of pearl buttons. Ally was driven to the church in her grandfather’s Rolls-Royce and we managed to get a photo of the proud owner with his granddaughter and her stunning dress.
Meanwhile, the boys were getting ready at Ally and Alex’s house with the groom, the best man, and two ushers taking the morning in their stride. Louie, the page boy, was dressed and ready to go by 9:30 in the morning. The groom and his party arrived at the church wearing matching blue suits and burgundy ties.
The wedding ceremony took place at the beautiful Binham Priory, conducted by Revd. Ian Whittle. The couple exchanged rings and the love they had for each other was evident. As the newlyweds exited the church, we captured some amazing group shots in the stunning surroundings of Binham Priory.
The wedding reception was held at a private farm just outside Binham, where a majestic marquee had been set up for the day. The marquee, bridge, and surroundings were decorated with beautiful flowers arranged by a family friend. Tables were named after breeds of cattle in recognition of the family business, and for place settings, individual, handmade cupcakes were placed on the crisply laid tables. Guests were treated to fantastic catering by Chris Coubrough’s team from the Crown Hotel, Wells-Next-The-Sea.
The newlyweds had a cheesecake made up of various local kinds of cheese, which doubled up as both the final course of the wedding breakfast and a snack for guests to nibble on throughout the evening. The first dance was to Ben Howard’s “Only Love” and the brilliant Lee Vasey Band played throughout the night. To cap off the day, Ally and Alex treated their guests to a fantastic fireworks display, which added the final wow factor to a day full of sentiments and romance.
I wish Ally and Alex a long and happy marriage and congratulate them as Mr & Mrs Smith. As always, I was on the lookout for that perfect shot, and we managed to capture a beautiful moment of them together, away from their guests.
